Mark your calendar for September 16-18 to celebrate the Northwest Junior Rodeo Association Finals coming to Elma.  Watch the amazing young riders at the Junior Rodeo Finals all three days at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds.

Buckaroo Days activities kick off on Saturday morning at the Elma Fire Department where volunteers cook up a “hot” breakfast 7:30 – 10:30 a.m.

The Grand Parade starts at the High School beginning at noon and proceeds down Main Street to “B” Street.  There are many equestrian entries in this western themed parade sponsored by Grays Harbor Radio and coordinated by the Grays Harbor Mounted Posse. Cash awards and ribbons are awarded to the best entries in several categories.

Buckaroo Days Chili & Salsa Cook-Off starts at 10 a.m. on 2nd Street, in front of Elma Feed & Farm Supply.  Cash awards are available so don’t miss the opportunity to showcase your chili or salsa. Tasting cups are available at 1 p.m. for $2 from the Chamber.

Elma Feed & Farm Supply and Les Schwab Tire Center are partnering to bring in free family and kids activities from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., including a bouncy house, games, face painting, farmers market, petting farm and prizes.  The Washington State Fiddlers entertain on the Les Schwab Stage throughout the day. Throw your favorite outlaw in the Buckaroo Jail and then wait for the GH Mounted Posse robbery and jail break.

New this year a “fun” dog show.  Enter your pooch in one of the many fun categories, smallest, biggest, wiggliest and more!  Jodesha Broadcasting and Elma Feed & Farm Supply are partnering to offer great awards in this contest!

Get ready for some of the most exciting bull riding around!  GH Mounted Posse presents Bulls & Barrels at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.  Admission is $10 adults, $7 youth age 6-12, 5 & under free.  Tickets are available at Tack Room Too, Centerville, Les Schwab Tire Centers in Grays Harbor and Shelton..

There are many opportunities to be involved.  Purchase your own photo board painted to represent your business for $75.  This themed photo board can be ready a week before the event drawing attention to your business and Buckaroo Days.  Deadline is Sept. 5 to get yours ordered.
