Satsop Development Park

Lying on a ridge top just a few miles Southwest of Elma, the Satsop Development Park is a "A Landmark Business Park" developed upon the site of the now defunct power generating station construction project. Construction of the two partially completed power plants was terminated by the Bonneville Power Administration when the plants
became unnecessary in the face of the Northwest energy generation surplus that developed when electricity prices rose and consumers responded by conserving energy in their homes and businesses.

At the urging of Grays Harbor PUD, the Port of Grays Harbor and Grays Harbor county, a public development authority was formed to assume management of the site. During the ensuing 5 years the Satsop Development Park has become home to an array of innovative businesses, ranging from Safeharbor.com, providing call center services, to Boise Cascade’s

production of building siding from waste wood and plastic.

With it’s sweeping views of the Chehalis River valley, its main line fiber optic termination facility, business incubation facilities, and modern water distribution, sewage collection, transportation and telecommunications infrastructure the Satsop Development Park makes a great fit for almost any enterprise.
